With 32 full-page chromo-lithographs from drawings by H.K. Browne, including colored frontispiece with tissue. Two volumes in one. Text complete and unaltered, 631 pages. Condition of binding: Shelf wear, one corner showing a tad, light bump to extremity; hinges cracked, lifting binding from text block. Gilt soiled, dinged, rubbed. Overall, text is generally clean, unmarked; few pages with creases, periodic signs of old humidity/foxing, but very readable. Color plates are extremely clear and vivid. Book is Good Plus condition. This is a wonderful collection of works by Charles James Lever, born in Dublin, Ireland, the author and Irish editor of cheerful, lighthearted, rollicking novels, many on post-Napoleonic Irish life and characters.
