A much (mistakenly) derided publisher of romance novels (of which the late President Sadat of Egypt was a huge fan) is now so successful it has the power of a brand. Started in 1908 Mills and Boon is one of the most successful international publishing businesses. This earlier hardback copy is in general fair condition. The tan cover is sound and sure. The title print is attractive and clear. There is some wear to corners, edges and seams. The spine, although worn, is secure and resolute. Inside, the frontispage is absent and there is some paper damage to the inside front cover. The guttering is cracked but still tight and taut.
