Each volume about 400 pages with comics in full color throughout with introductions by the above authors, all stories written and pencilled by Jack Kirby, Vol. 1 inked by Vince Colletta, containing (18) complete comics, concept drawings of the New Gods and an afterword by Mark Evanier. Individual comics in Vol. 1 include The Newsboy Legion from Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #135, Oct. 1970 , The Mountain of Judgement, same comic, #134, Dec. 1970, In Search of a Dream, from The Fovever People #1 feb. 1971, Orion Fights for Earth from the New Gods #1 Feb. 1971, etc. The other three volumes in the set have stories from the above series and from Mister Miracle, DC Graphic Novels, also Kirby's the Name, a self portrait and Infinity Man, This is Lightray, etc., also all in full color throughout, each containing about (15) individual comics with other original pencil pages from Jack Kirby, Mike Royer's orginal inks, who's who profiles, etc..
