D'Ivoi, Paul : Les Voleurs de Foudre (Voyages Excentriques)

Boivin & Cie, Éditeurs, Paris, 1912

460 pages (complete). In French throughout. "Voyages Excentriques" was a series of science-fictional stories produced to compete with, and ride on the back of, Jules Verne's massively successful "Voyages Extraordinaires". Paul D'Ivoi was the pen-name of Paul Deleutre, however it was also a name employed by both his father and grandfather. Despite much wear, scuffing and marks, the boards of this copy are benign and attractively bourgeois. The spine has much wear but is still healthy and fit. The boards are steady and sound. The early and later pages have light age and storage related marks. In general, and by far, the contents are most agreeable. They are clean, clear, convivial, generous in ambition and spirit, thrilling, energetic, handsome. A confident, assured book! Eager to be read! fk. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hardcover. Jacket: No Jacket
