Charles Noke,quickly recognised the potential of this economically produced ware for the souvenir market.
Australian customers seem to have been particularly eager to purchase patriotic pottery and so designs of wattle,waratahs, koalas and kangaroos were despatched 'down under' with regularity.American customers whilst they occasionally commissioned subjects of local interest,obviously preferred scenes from the old country. Hunting,shooting and fishing,the great British field sports,were considered particularly suitable subjects for export.
