The boards are rubbed and edge worn, and the corners are quite knocked inwards. The gold gilt on the spine remains bright and the boards are square and strong. Internally, the front end page has a previous owner's inscription on it in black ink, and the page is quite tanned, but this does not extend into the rest of the book.
