A pamphlet containing the Constitution governing the subordinate lodges under the jurisdiction of Grand Lodge of Washington state and the by-laws of the Yakima Lodge, No. 22 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF). The Yakima Lodge was instituted on March 7, 1882. The Constitution and By-Laws include information on topics such as membership criteria, meetings, election and appointment of officers, duties of officers, fees and dues, benefits, and trials and penalties. Between the Constitution and By-Laws is an unfilled Certificate of Membership. IOOF was founded in 1819 by Thomas Wildey in Baltimore as a fraternity engaged in recreational as well as charitable activities. This history of IOOF goes back to the Order of Odd Fellows, a fraternity that was founded in eighteenth-century England. Unofficial American Odd Fellows lodges had been founded before 1819, but Washington Lodge No. 1, which was founded by Wildey and his associates in 1819, is considered to be the first official IOOF lodge. IOOF is still active to this day and has lodges located around the world.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Soft cover
