On offer is an original, interesting manuscript relic of premier level 'PGA' golf being the working notebook of caddy Ian Wright used during the 1990 British Open in St. Andrews, Scotland. Wright spent the Open being the caddy for professional golfer Seve Ballesteros. The notebook is a hand-drawn, pencilled golf course guide for two full 18-hole rounds, complete with each hole's yardage, bunkers, flag position and sketches of distinctive features of each hole. Interestingly, it also contains the signatures of some of the biggest golfers in the world at the time. The front page of the notebook contains the signature of Arnold Palmer, Ben Crenshaw, Seve Ballesteros, and Hale Irwin. Most commonly, each page contains a drawing of the putting green, its length, the slope of the green, and any other features (sand traps, water) that might surround it. The item exhibits pocket-wear as would be expected. The winner of the 1990 British Open that year would be Nick Faldo. Seve Ballesteros would come in 83rd place with +1 over par for the tournament.
