Folding frontispiece showing facade of the London Lying-in Hospital. Hulme (1732-1807) was first a naval physician, and wrote on scurvy. He received his MD at Edinburgh, then became Physician to London Lying-in and the General Dispensary, then to the Charterhouse. Early calf-backed boards, lightly worn at extremities. Spine calf dried; small losses to ends. Barely visible archival repairs to fp and hinges. (Walleriana 4984, German version, 1772).
