Top edges very lightly toned from light dust-soiling,but still bright and with very minimal, sporadic foxing/spotting, fore-edges similarly, but slightly brighter and also with sporadic foxing/spotting; contents bright,tight,clean - text body virtually foxing-free - foxing to page edges in the main,one small page edge tear minimally into text - no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corner tips,appears unread - apart from my own collation.Any discolouring or other imperfections commensurate with book's age and therefore with some minimal foxing/spotting.UK, 12mo HB,no dw/dj,1st edn,vipp+7-256pp [paginated] includes reverse of contents list/ table,XLIV (44) chapters,3 colour illustrations (includes frntis) by W. Another uncommonly presentable item,this example has survived exceptionally well, particularly without any dw/dj protection - as issued - particularly in respect to the book overall,and unusually,without the usual major discolouration and other imperfections usually encountered or expected in a children's book of this age.
