First Edition (first printing) - this copy inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper thus: "To Lady Milne from the Author, J.A.Hammerton 1st December 1930". 8vo. 336pp. Black cloth with gilt lettering to the spine and upper board. With a frontispiece and seventeen delightful sketches by Hubbard. Two corners quite severely knocked, and endpapers fractionally browned. A good, bright copy in very good dust wrapper. Hesketh Hubbard (1892-1957) was the founder and director of the Forest Press. He started as an etcher and became a leading proponent of coloured woodcuts and linocuts, exhibiting at the R.A. and Paris Salon.. Book. Book Condition: Good. Binding: Hardcover. Jacket: Very Good
