Original 1998 reprint of an 1837 map of Ireland laid in original fine-press folio on white paper. A Keepsake for members of the Roxburghe Club of San Francisco and friends of the California Map Society and the Phillips Society, Library of Congress. Map: 9" x 12 3/4." Folio: 9 1/2" x 14 1/4." Folio has text printed on front and back. Map is printed on one side. Map and folio are virtually pristine and intact. A Fine copy. A facsimile of one of three maps by Henry D. Harness that accompanied the Second Report of the Railway Commissioners (1837). Of the three, this map was the only one concerned with population in Ireland. The other two maps distinguished "the flow of traffic by passenger conveyance with urban centers shown by size with graduated circles." Back colophon: "This Keepsake was presented to members of The Roxburghe Club of San Francisco and friends of The California Map Society and The Phillips Society, Library of Congress, in celebration of an address by Norman J.
