H. E. Gorman : Original County Retail Liquor License - H. E. Gorman, Placer County, 1914

Original county retail liquor license granted to H. E. Gorman of Last Chance in Placer County, California. Printed and handwritten in black ink on beige paper. Two dates of 1913 are printed, but they appear to be corrected to 1914 (green "1914" stamp on one and the other is corrected by hand). 9" x 5 1/4." License is very clean and intact except for several creases throughout, two small holes at the top (one of which has been torn through in the upper-right corner), and light age toning. A Very Good copy. This license allows H. E. Gorman to sell liquor at his Last Chance store in Placer County from March 7 to June 7, 1914. The license reads that it was granted to Gorman because he paid the County Treasury $50 and that he is to sell liquor at less than one quart. Signatures of the County Auditor, "O. T. Seavey," the License Collector, "Chas. Keenan," and Deputy, "M. L. Stevens," are at the bottom.. Manuscript. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: No Binding
