Short preface by the author. Attractive head and tail-pieces to each of the 13 poems. The free end-papers have off-setting but otherwise a lovely sound and clean copy of a rare original copy of the book. [Gowans was born in South Shields in 1871and by 30 was a Head Bank Manager who then emigrated to Canada in 1904 on The Mongolian where he became a farmer. In 1906 he was living in Strathcona, Alberta. He died in Middlesex in 1941. A reprint [isbn 9781241037901] is available in British Library Historical Print Editions 2011]. NO OTHER COPY TRACED..
