Short preface by the author. Attractive head and tail-pieces to each of the 13 poems. The free end-papers have off-setting but otherwise a lovely sound and clean copy of a rare original copy of the book. [Gowans was born in South Shields in 1871and by 30 was a Head Bank Manager who then emigrated to Canada in 1904 on The Mongolian where he became a farmer.
