No. 2 - APRIL 1935,relating to John Harris and his marine timekeepers.Bound in bright,clean,sharp-cornered,grey textured cloth bds with bright,crisp,stamped gilt letters and library number to spine/ backstrip with plain white eps.Feps have a b/w pictorial,naval anchor design illustrated bookplate pasted to front pastedown and an angled,red ink 'WITHDRAWN FROM PLYMOUTH LIBRARY SERVICES' stamp towards centre of front free endpaper.Library barcode taped towards foot of rear,free endpaper.To verso of frntis a black ink 'PLYMOUTH PUBLIC LIBRARIES' stamp and hand-written title+author.An inked library numerical notation to top of title-page and hand-written inscrptn "Donation MAY,1970." to bottom corner of same also - no other library indications at all.UK,slim 8vo HB,38pp [paginated 112-139pp] includes contents+plates lists/tables,b/w vignetted editorial notes page,6 b/w photographic plates comprising 8 photographs; plus [unpaginated] b/w contemporay portrait of John Harris frntis+title-page and to rear,first page of article 'The PUBLICATION of LISTS of MEN-OF-WAR' by R. C. Anderson, which has an ink squiggle through the text,probably indicating to the binder,that this was the last page to be included in the binding(?).Some minimal red crayon and blue ink margin marking (4 examples/instances only) to some sentences/ paragraphs on pp125/6 and pp129 only.Described honestly and fairly. A lecture,accompanied by lantern slides, question and answer session,delivered by Rupert T. Gould,Lieut.-Commander,R.N.
