Faint offsetting from the seal. A Very Good copy. Henry John Goethe (1850-1928) was a successful Sacramento banker and real estate developer. He was the son of Matthias Goethe and the father of Charles M. Goethe, both of whom were well-known in Sacramento in their respective lifetimes. In this document, Goethe signs as notary public to acknowledge that Mrs. Ziegler has appeared before him and that she, in turn, has signed that Sarah J.
