Five pages. Letters are each very clean and intact except for minuscule wear and a few faint marks and small dampstains. Both letters are Near Fine. The writer has signed one letter as "A. Gilkey" while the other is signed with her intials, "A. G." Miss Gilkey is a teacher at a small school in Pleasant Grove, Sutter County, California. She writes to her mother about everyday things in life such as rainy weather, keeping students away from the school, coming to visit, having a toothache, and planning to buy a hat.. Manuscript.
