George G.Harrap & Co. Ltd., London, 1942

First Edition (first printing). Small 4to. 64pp. Red cloth lettered in black at the spine and upper board. Illustrated with 15 colour plates, and 38 black and white cartoons, drawings and posters. Free endpapers very lightly soiled, and the upper board lifting a little. A nice crisp copy in nicked and soiled non-price-clipped dust wrapper. An interesting selection of British and Soviet cartoons, particularly noticeable for being the first bookform appearance of any cartoon by Giles (i.e. Ronald 'Carl' Giles): his cartoon "It's nothing, Tovarishi, you should have seen the one that got away" appearing here about a year before he made his 'Sunday Express' debut in October 1943 (although he had been producing cartoons for the Sunday newspaper 'Reynolds News' since 1937).. Book. Book Condition: Good. Binding: Hardcover. Jacket: Good
