A monumental plan of Rome with 10 of 12 Sheets, dedicated to Pope Benedetto XIV. Engraved by Rocco Pozzi, Pietro Campana E Carlo Nolli, while the cartouche is by the painter Stefano Pozzi. According to Frutaz two editions of this plan are recorded; the first one is without the \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Advertimento\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" at the right edge (only one copy known in Biblioteca Vaticana.)
In this example, we are missing along the top row the middle section and along the bottom row the far right corner as the picture indicates.
Giambattista Nolli Lived in Rome and was a surveyor and architect who devoted his life to recording the architectural and urban foundations of the city. The result of his records was \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"La Pianta Grande di Roma\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" which is one of the most revealing and artistic plans ever.
