Se: Some edgewear, normal for age.. Paper at cover hinges is worn, some creases, minor for such a scarce book. I'm a person who knows and speaks in Spanish/Espanol everyday. I took the time to peruse this popular title to see what all the fuss was about... Wow... now I know. If you've ever studied any foreign language, most books, lessons, audio tapes are structured in an identical fashion, basic traveler's lingo. You can purchase 25 different books and they all have this same basic structure that never grasps at the thought of a bilingual world outside of the vacation trip. Well, this book, in dictionary style alphabetical entries goes beyond the literal meaning and delves into the actural use and reason why any partucular word is used and in context. For example, a word I hear often is "ficha" a common Spanish dictionary says it is a "chip, domino, counter" when in actual use it is a "card" and in my case it's a time card for my employees to track their hours. This book's focus is on using the Spanish language beyond the basics. It includes a special vocabulary sections for food, cars, courtesy, household, lectures, conferences, office matters, telephoning, and is most indispensible. The hype is right. I wish I had this book 10 years ago when I was stumbling through the workplace in broken my broken Spanish. Finally a book that makes sense of all the little idomatic tidbits of the Spanish Language. An excellent resource for furtering your study of the the Spanish / Espanol Language. Back of the book goes on to praise itself: common words with no exact equivalent in English, false friends... dangerous words, that have variety of meanings, spoken language usage differes from written usage, levels of meaning, and more. Simply a great book. Hinges Worn, Some Creases Please send us a note if you have any questions. Thank you.. Book. Book Condition: A: Book: Good or Better Cond.. Jacket: No Dust Jacket
