A very good copy in slightly nicked and toned dust wrapper. The author's final work, which he was still writing at the time of his death. It was originally intended as a general introduction to the uniform edition of his works, but expended so considerably as to warrant separate publication, even though only about half of what he planned was completed, and only a portion of that revised..
