The first letter is dated July 8, 1952 (8 x 10 1/2 inch) on the Pennsylvania Governor's stationary and addressed to Mr. Fielding J. Stilson of California. Fine states that he received Stilson's letter on the political situation and read it with 'deep interest'. He also states that 'May all of us enthusiastically support the nominee of the Convention'. It has Governor Fine's full signature. The second typed letter is dated July 18, 1952 (7 1/4 x 6 3/4 inch) on the Governor's stationary and signed stating that he is 'most happy' that his actions at the convention meet with Stilson's approval and that 'the Eisenhower-Nixon team . will be victorious if all of us work vigorously'. Both letters have evidence of being folded for mailing. John S. Fine (1893-1978) served as governor of Pennsylvania, 1951 to 1955.. Manuscript. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine. Binding: No Binding
