Color illustration on front cover of a mother and daughter putting a hat and hat box away in a wooden chest with a few items on the ground, including a copy of Woman's World. 10 1/2" x 13 1/2." Twenty-eight pages, complete. Illustrations in black-and-white and color, complete. Advertisements interspersed throughout, many of which have black-and-white or color illustrations. Former owner's address printed in lower-right corner on front. Pages and covers are intact overall. Pages and covers have age toning, occasional brown spots, and a faint but noticeable dampstain on spine mostly limited to margins. Text is still readable. Staples are rusted. Chipping along spine. Some pages are loose. A Good copy. Woman's World was a general-interest magazine aimed toward women that included a variety of features such as fictional short stories, life advice columns, and articles about health, fashion, and housekeeping. The following are some of the features in this issue: "The Desert's Awakening, Concluding Article; Our Southwest: The Land of Mystery and Enchantment" [about irrigation projects in the Southwest, Colorado, and California], "Life in a Small Town, No. 6: Would I Choose the Ministry Again?," [thoughts from a minister], "The Profession She Chose: A Story of the Busy World" [Maude Radford Warren writes about her life as a single woman, going from a wealthy, dependent girl to a working, independent woman in charge of a housekeeping businesses (she later married but continued to work)], "Equipping the Modern Kitchen," "Nineteen Rules for Dishwashing; And Some Readers' Problems" [dishwashing and housekeeping tips], "Summer Eats and Drinks: Cool and Refreshing for Hot Days," "Easing up on Tuesday: Ironing Device that Help," "The Summer Journey: How to Make it Comfortably," "The Care of the Baby: Teething, Exercise and Habits," "The Beauty Seeker: What You Can Do for Your Features," "Needlework You Will Enjoy," "Pretty and Practical Styles Suitable for All Occasions," "The Study of Music: Singing at Sight--The Major Scale," and "Awards in the Contest: What Makes a Woman Attractive" [some of the winning letters in which people voiced their opinions on which attributes make a woman most attractive]. The ads promote different businesses, products, and services including Crisco, Campbell's Soups, Van Camp's, Coca-Cola, Grape-Nuts, Bon Ami, and Postum.. Book. Book Condition: Collectible-Good.
