M Malan. 23 Jan 85" Captain Vorster was a much regarded South African Naval captain (of SAS President Pretorius) who had contributed to covert operations. The frontispage has an embossed emblem indicating the book hails from Captain Vorster's library. The dustjacket is benign. There is some mild sunning about the edges and seams. The edges and corners have shelving wear. The faces have some light rubbing and handling marks. The boards are sound. The edges and spine have been sunned. The head and foot of the spine and the corners have been worn by shelving. The pages are clear, clean, very confident and assured, competent and very certain of themselves. A previous owner signature reveals him to be Riaan Eksteen who was the South African Ambassador to the United Nations. He later fell out spectacularly with Botha when he was the head of the SABC - but this was after the publication of this book. Eksteen has signed the frontispage, and underlined his entries in the index and the contents. The frontispage also has an inscription: Nasionale Party Stryddag Pietersburg - 10 November 1984. The book is in Afrikaans throughout. The dustjacket is in good condition: tight, neat and certain. The boards are very clean and very neat. Within, the contents reveal very careful ownership.
