First Edition (first printing). Small 8vo. 75pp + [ii] publisher's advertisements. Green cloth lettered in gold at the spine and upper board. A touch of wear to the spine ends, endpapers spotted, and with some further spotting to a dozen or so preliminary and concluding leaves. A nice crisp copy. The author's second collection of verse (following his 1905 self-funded collection 'The Soul's Destroyer'): thirty-six poems, with a printed dedication: 'To Helen and Edward Thomas'. (Davies met Edward Thomas, then the literary critic for the 'Daily Chronicle', in October 1905, and Thomas quickly became his champion and guardian, even renting him a small cottage two meadows from his own house at Elses Farm, Sevenoaks)..
