the book is signed and inscribed by Compton on the title page. there is also the name and address of the former owner to whom the book was inscribed (Terence Sutherland). there are a further 4 signatures on the half title page. one of them appears to be Brian Statham who wrote an article in the book. the others i am unable to decipher but they would probably be celebrities of some sort from their time. . the boards are worn and marked. there is a small tear in the cloth on the front panel. the binding is excellent. there are very minor age related marks..
