A very good copy in the origginal green cloth, spine faded and extremities worn. The entire volume (249pp. text and 13 folded plates) is devoted to the Siege of Plevna, and the defence made there by the Turks against the Russians in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878. Some of the elaborate folding plates have the free margin chipped and worn due to past poor folding and refolding, in no case anywhere near the illustrated areas of the plate.
