Original black-and-white publicity photograph of Lynne Carver and Jean Vernon on a tour to visit servicemen during World War II between their work on the film, Tennessee Johnson. The two actresses are shown posing for photos with a few others seated in a military vehicle. Green stamp on back:"Approved; Advertising Advisory Council; Nov 2 1942; Hollywood." 8" x 10." Purple stamp with "1257x25" on back. Also on back is a typed description of the scene in the photo. Photo is very clean and intact except for slightly bumped corners and a wrinkle running from the upper-left corner to about the center of the photo. A Very Good copy. Lynne Carver (1916-1955) and Jean Vernon were American actresses. Tennessee Johnson (1942) is a historical drama about President Andrew Johnson and his impeachment in 1868. While there is not as much documentation on Vernon, it is known that Carver played the role of Johnson's daughter in the film, Martha Johnson Patterson.
