Cadbury expresses regret that he could not send good wishes to Joan, and asks Mrs Carter to relay them. Mrs. Carter was the wife of well-known physician Alfred Henry Carter (1849-1917). This letter would probably date from 1910-1920. William Adlington Cadbury (17 February 1867 - 8 July 1957) was an English businessman affiliated with his family company, Cadbury. In 1905 he commissioned the first Cadbury logo. In 1921, the Cadbury script logo was introduced, based on William Cadbury's signature
