Original printed and manuscript document on beige paper. Portions that are handwritten are in black ink. 13" x 18 3/8." Two pages, complete (printed on one leaf on front and back). Three signatures in the lower-right corner on the front. The back lists the "Terms and Conditions for the Insurance of Houses and Buildings, Household Furniture, Goods and Stock in Trade, from Loss or Damage by Fire." This document confirms the payment by Henry B. Green for fire insurance. This is "Policy No. 297139." The following is an excerpt from the document that is in both printed and handwritten text: "Whereas Henry B. Green of Thetford, Norfolk has paid to the Association of the County Fire Office the sums above stated to have been received for premium and duty on the grant of this Policy, and has agreed to pay to the said Association, from time to time, at its principal Office in London, or to some known Agent of this said Association in the country, the sums above stated to be conditioned to be paid in future for the renewal or continuation of this Policy, at the periods also above stated, for insurance of the property hereinafter described, from loss or damage by fire, to the amount of the sums of money hereinafter mentioned, namely: On his Household Furniture, Wearing Apparel, Printed Books, Linen and Plate in his Dwelling house, Brick Stone and Tile silicate[?] at Thetford aforesaid.".
